Going on a multi destination trip with my daughter in June or end of May. Tickets look really high like 2000. up .... should I wait or will it get worse?

Ouch! we are going early May - into IST and out ATH - I booked right before Christmas. I noticed that some options were pricing up from what I had seen in Nov. so I booked. We need connecting flights in and out - and it seemed the best options were disappearing, connections of like 8 hours were the cheap choices but we were looking at weekend flights. We paid around $1300. I think capacity has been lowered and prices raised - boo hoo!

Yikes makes me afraid to wait but the summer sales have not come out yet. I plan to go into Athens, into Malaga and out of Barcelona. Maybe 2,000 is about right? Any more feedback Fodor Folks???

It's because you are going to Greece, it farther away than W Europe, and mainly because it sounds like you are including 3 flights, not just 2, so of course that is going to cost a bundle. YOu can't even compare it to flights just to/from Europe when you are including a flight from Athens to Malaga in addition. $2000 doesn't seem bad to me for that itinerary when it is about $1300-1500 just for a RT to Europe.

If you were just going to Athens and out of BCN, it would be more like $1300, I bet, at least if you didn't fly the most expensive days of the week.

It depends where you are flyign from, also, if it isn't a major international East coast airport in the US, that could be why, also. Because I do see that I could get that itinerary in mid-June (all 3 flights) for only about $1500 total from Washington DC (decent flights) on Air Canada/Lufthansa. I checked cheap days, though, mid-week for all.

Thanks out of atlanta and yes, I will look at just Barcelona. I was doing mid week days. So it will only climb up? I could take Iberia down to Malaga maybe. Thanks for the help.
