Bus/Train Website

I need some information on how to travel from Munster (Alsace) to Basel via public transportation. Once I get there, I can probably find the correct people to help, but I like to do advance planning as much as possible. Is there a bus or train website for France? Munster is not far from Colmar which looks as if it might be on a direct train route from Strasbourg to Basel.

virginiagentleman:

Check the Swiss federal railways website's (English version at: http://www.rail.ch/index_e.htm) timetable.

Just enter "Munster" and "Basel SBB" in the respective fields, add your date and time of travel.

You will be shown the possible connections (there is a bus from Munster to Colmar, which will take about 25 Minutes and the train journey from Colmar to Basel takes approximately 40 to 50 Minutes).

Hope this helps.

Phil.

Thanks to all for the help, especially Phil. I didn't realize I could enter a town in France in the SSB system. You are correct in that the train sked shows 44 minutes from Colmar to Basel. Since I 'm going on to Wengen, I was able to check connections for the entire way. I'm sure I'll be able to get a ride to Colmar from Munster, one way or the other. Thank again.
