Bus to Oltrarno Florence

I am staying close to the Museo Archeologico and I want to take the bus to get across the Arno for exploring, eating, a Palazzo Pitti tour, a vist to the Cappella Brancacci. I looked at the ATAF sight and I think i figured it out the bus route. I would like a confirmation from Fodorites with more experiance than I, please.

Bus 11. I can walk to a stop close to Piazza San Marco, stop 11 (Arazziari) according to the trip planner on the ATAF site. I can exit at stop 20, Sauro ( Angela Caputi Bijou), or at Serragli. If I did the "outbound" trip correctly I will plan the return leg. I am anxious to see Florence for the second time. I am looking forward to riding the bus too.

Thanks and Regards,

Rolo

If you don't have mobility problems you can easily walk from your hotel. I can't remember how long it took since I stopped and looked at things on the way to the Brancacci Chapel.

I, too, would walk this if possible. The route goes right through the center of town and would take 20-25 minutes.

In my experience, bus 11 would take you close to the Pitti.
