Budman is back

You were missed, but more importantly, I must tell you, I had a dinner party for my brother-in-law, whose wife left him and covered the wine bottles and asked them to guess which one was a friend's homemade.
NO ONE GUESSED!!
You should be proud, and thanks for yopur generosity.

I can understand a celebratory dinner for someone whose wife has left him, but ** why did she cover the wine bottles **?

Because Budman sent her a bottle of his wine and she wanted to see if her guests could tell his "home brew" from "store bought".

Budman Hi. I hope you had a wonderful time. We are off next Friday. How was your dinner at http://www.cinghialebianco.it? Do you have any other recommendations for fab restaurants. There will be 4 of us and its my parents first trip to Italy so I want to make it the most fun? We will be driving down to San Gimignano and Pienza also and then back up to the Cinque Terre and Lake Como. I dont know if you passed that way.
Thanks, and I would appreciate any info you can give me. Anne

I left out the I, ira. I have arthritis in my fingers so I make many mistakes, can't feel the keys.
But He did hide his wine bottles so she wouldn't take them!

Welcome home (big hug) Budman!

I'm off to Paris tomorrow for ten days, will "talk" with you when I return. Or maybe, from an internet cafe...

(I remember so well your kind hearted posts re certain ex-protuberances of mine. Thanks again, guy!)

Don't ya just LOVE travel? My passion for it truly surpasses all reason (while decimating my bank account) but who cares? Just let me go again and again and again and I'm happy!

Bye for now!

So long to you, too, Mimi! I'll miss your posts while I'm gone.

Funny how on this forum, there's certain people that feel like a friendly neighbor just across the fence!

Sorry, sorry, stern grammarians!

That's "there are", not "there's".

Attribute it to pre-trip euphoria!

Aine, the food was very good. If I were to have any complaints, I felt like I was being treated line an "American." That is, I finished one course, and the next one was slapped down in front of me -- almost like they wanted table turnover.

On the bright side, we met up with another fodorite couple, marchy007. We ordered another pitcher of wine after dinner to share -- weren't going to let them move us out. We made some new friends and had a fabulous time. We also had something uniquely in common -- neither one of our wives drink red wine.

Croque_Madame -- Enjoy Paris!!!

Jocelyn_P, Trip report?
