It looks delightful; I think we'll give it a go next time we're in the area, as long as it's not during the hot months.

Oh, it looks wonderful! Is this outside of Avignon? I am just starting to familiarize myself with the area . . .

This is another charmer. During the Avignon festival, lots of the performers stay here. It's outside Avignon off the D228

Hotel de l'Atelier is a charming little place with friendly owners; loved Villeneuve les Avignon, also. Hotel, in a very old bldg., has an interesting history; used to be some sort of little "factory"--I forget the details. Great budget choice!

You may not or may already know this, but even when they say Villeneuve-Les Avignon is just across the bridge from Avignon, it is still a long distance. It still took us a good 10-15 minute drive (buses are also available) to get to Avignon.

Nice little town though and I remember walking by the l'Atelier when we were ther last October.

taylor. I was there for over two weeks and walking across was no big deal for me. You pass the grounds where the locals play boules, and you don't see it as a long walk. The boat stop at 7 and the bus, I think at 10 ; cabs are an expense so walking was the way to go.

I think I have died and gone to heaven. I just logged on to their site. I just love it. Sent them an e-mail to check on available dates. Am keeping my fingers, toes and everything else crossed that I can stay at the charming de'Atelier. Thanks again for all your help.
