Can anyone suggest a good budget friendly accomodation for a party of 4...we don't mind sharing one room. This will be our first time in France and its only going to be an overnight excursion. None of us know areas to avoid etc. Thank you!

What's your budget? I have a list of Paris quadruples if you want to e-mail me. Off the top of my head, I can recommend the Hotel Jeanne d'Arc. They have a quad for 125€/night. It's in the Marais, one of the best areas of the city which is within walking distance of the Louvre, Notre Dame, Ste-Chapelle, Ile St-Louis and is on ligne 1 (line 1) which will take you to the Arc de Triomphe.

I'm sorry, that should read 145€/night - still not a bad price for 4 people to a room. Breakfast is 6€.
