Budapest Metro
Are the signs in the metro in English as well? if not what is the Hungarian work for transfer. What is the work for exit? We need to transfer stations and I want to be able to make that change and not wind up exiting the station by mistake

Short answer - the signs will be in both English and Hungarian.

IIRC - yes. We bought tickets on an as needed basis and from a machine. We walked a lot, didn't use metro that much. They are validated in machine the first time you use it and I "think" your do not validate again -- it's good for 24 hours from initial stamp. Just be sure to carry it with you and don't lose it; like cash - if it's gone, it's gone.
