Budapest is my base; good weekend trips?
Hi there...
I have an internship in Budapest from Jan through March. I'm going to Prague for 10 days at the end of the internship, but I wondered about easy weekend trips from Budapest.
Does anyone have any interesting, value-oriented suggestions? Vienna is one I thought of, but it's not exactly cheap, and I've already been there.

If you are going to stay in Budapest there are tons of great cities to see in Hungary. There's Eger, Esztergom, Szeged, Kecskemet. Definetly try to do the spas. I loved the one in Heviz near the Balaton. The weather won't be the best but you can do many indoor things, museums churches, restaurants etc...for more ideas, check out some blogs that some of the students teaching English in Hungary have, they have tons of ideas.
