bruxelles-paris

In September we have five free days between trade shows.
The first show is in Bruxelles, and the last is Paris.
This past year we went to Brugge.
The year before to Lille.
Can anyone think of another idea for our short vacation break?
I would prefer something not too far from this route.
Thanks in advance
Bev

Amsterdam 2.5 hrs by train. Cologne Germany a couple of hours by rail - the Rhine and Mosel nearby. Take Eurostar Brussels-London for as low as $90 round trip! (RailEurope or agents: 800-441-2387).

Since you have time to book, you can fly low cost with Vueling (vueling.com) from Brussels to Barcelona, and then BCN to Paris. At this season, and with such a big time lead, you should be able to get tickets as low as 30 euros each way per person. Vueling is a nice and reliable Catalan airline. Charleroi airport (40 km south of Brussels with a bus connection from central Brussels) is one of Ryanair's hubs in continental Europe. Granted, it's not that convenient to trek there for a short break, but the range of destinations is quite broad and original throughout Europe, and the rates will be very low. Check on www.ryanair.com

Hi E,

Good idea from Art.

Check www.whichbudget.com from flights from Brussels.

I think it will be Amsterdam.
I hadn't realized how close by train.
We go to Barcelona in January right after Frankfurt (more trade shows).
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Just keep in mind that Amsterdam-Paris by train is more than 4 hours.
