Brunswick, GA to Paris via Delta

I need to get a ticket for a relative who is coming to visit us in Paris. She is traveling from Brunswick, Ga.to Paris on Oct.11,2005 and returning home on Oct.25,2005. Since Delta is the only carrier that services her town she would fly to Atlanta and then on to Paris via Delta. She could fly out of Jacksonville, Fl, but the connections are not as good and she has an hour and twenty minute drive to the airport instead of a fifteen minute trip to the airport and the fares are no better. Right now the best fare I have found for those dates is $793. Since I am an American frequent flyer I do not keep up with Delta's sales schedule. Is there anyone out there who follows Delta and could advise me as to if this is a good fare for that time of the year or should we wait until closer time? I am aware that this is a heavy travel time for Paris. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I don't think it's a GREAT fare and I'd probably be shooting to get it for about $100 less during that period; probably pulling the trigger sometime in July or August. That's my two cents worth.

I heard on the news today that airline fuel costs in the US are up 70% for the year, and that airlines were increasing fares again. With Delta's financial woes, I don't think you are going to see many Delta sales this year. In previous years, you might have been able to get a fare for $100-150 less than your current fare. This year, that might not be a bad price.

Hi L,

Keep track of prices at www.mobissimo.com (currently $765)through July.

It might drop $75.
