PalenQ, I paid 154E for two tickets. There were cheaper options, but this was the timing and connection that appealed. Thanks.

janisj, thanks for the link. I did hunt Michael's trip reports and found bits and pieces which I loved, but somehow didn't find this one.

Curious if this was from Amsterdam to Bruges itself and if so did you book the ABS fare from Antwerp or Brussels that lets you take any train from either of those - whatever your Thalys ticket says to Bruges within 24 hours - 74 euros seeems high to just Antwerp - I think the ABS - Any Belgian Station fare is 5 euros extra.

Curious- am doing same route later.
