Brugge Museum and Restaurant Questions
Does anyone know if the Brugge Museum Combo ticket (the €15 one that admits to 5 attractions) is valid for more than one day?
I had one from a few years ago, and the ticket itself didn't specify how long it is valid for; so I assume it has no expiration date?
Since we'll be there for 2 days, I'd prefer we break up the museums over the 2 days.
I would like some restaurant suggestions that aren't expensive. I'm hoping for €30 or less for food per person. I have bookmarked a couple of place such as Den Dijver, Den Goulden Harynck etc but I don't think we want to spend that much (€50+ per person)!
FYI, we are staying at a B&B east of the Burg (near St Annarei), if that makes a difference.

One more question: What's the latest on tipping in restaurants in Belgium? None needed? Round up to the next Euro? 5%?
We probably will pay for some meals by credit card. If we need to leave a tip, do we give the cash tip to the waiter or do we leave it on the table?

I'll answer the easiest question first.
Tipping: round up to the next euro (or a little more if you're really satisfied). If you pay by CC, don't add the extra on the slip 'cause the money won't go to the staff but to the owner. We usually leave a few euros on the table.
Combo ticket: it's not clearly mentioned on the Brugge website. For the Flemish Art Collection combo ticket it is clearly mentioned that the ticket is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. It's not mentioned for your combo ticket. You can always email the tourist service and ask. [email protected]
Restaurants: there are a lot of restaurants where you can eat a meal for around 30 euro. For example Bistro De Pompe (Kleine St. Amandsstraat 2), Tom's Diner (West Gistelhof 23), De Vlaamsche Pot (Helmstraat 3), and a lot more. Do a search on http://www.resto.be/ware/index.jsp?lg=EN for restaurants within your budget.

If you can bear with me for a few more "dumb" questions...
RE: tipping
So, my understanding is that service is already included in the bill. I can see that if we pay by cash, it makes sense to round up to the next euro. However, if we pay by credit card, do locals still leave a few euro cents on the table? Say our bill comes out to €40,25 and we pay with CC. Should we still leave 75 euro cents on the table or should we just forget about that?
Do the restaurants use those hand-held CC machines? Will we need to punch in a PIN # (we don't have one set up, AFAIK)?
Also:
Do Belgians usually order bottled water? (that's my recollection.)

There are no dumb questions, yk!
I can only speak for myself and my family/friends. If we pay by credit card, we leave a few euro coins on the table. So, we don't necessarily round up to the next euro in this case.
Some restaurants use hand-held machines that need a pin code but I believe that every CC machine can produce a slip that you can sign if you don't have (or don't remember) a pin code.
Yes, we order bottled water. I don't know any restaurant that offers tap water, like in France or the Netherlands. I personally find the quality of our tap water not very good.

Yes, yes, yes to the Bistrot de Pompe suggested by MirriamC!
We had a fantastic dinner there last month. The four of us got different selections and they all were carefully prepared and delicious. It falls just in your price range and their house (bottled) wine was very nice, as well. The friendly atmosphere/service was a big plus,as well.
