Brugge B&B choices...help!
This is a "good problem to have", but I can't decide which B&B to choose in Brugge. We've narrowed it down to the following, care to give your vote? Thanks!
Maison Le Dragon

De Triptiek

Cote Canal

We've stayed in Sint Niklaas this past July in the Belfort room, where you have the view of the Belfry. Really magnificent especially at night when it's all lit up. The B&B is a mere 2-minute walk from the Grote Markt. Anne, the owner, is kind and very helpful. Breakfast is good, with fresh fruit, made-to-order eggs, smoked salmon, ham/salami, croissants etc. The place is very quiet, the rooms (I got to see all of them) are extremely clean, and the living room with fireplace is very cosy.
We enjoyed our stay there and I'm sure you will too.

Thanks for the reply - that is the place I am leaning towards. Would you say the Belfort Room was your favorite? We are also deciding between that and the rooftop room if we go with Sint Niklaas. A good view is high on our list though so the Belfort room might be the choice.
Also, how was the bathroom in that room?
Thanks!

I have stayed at Cote Canal and it was tremendous. Caroline is a wonderful hostess and the place exudes a kind of old quiet classiness.
I think the location of Cote Canal is a slightly more preferable - just minutes from the Grote Markt but tucked away on the canal between tow bridges.
If you can get a second floor room overlooking the canal you won't be disappointed.

How many and which nights will you be in Brugges. We found an amazing apartment that rents for weekends (Friday-Sunday) and midweek (Monday-Thursday) stays for an incredible price. We're paying 65E a night for the mid week stay in May but you have to stay 4 nights. Highest rating on Trip Adisior and great people to work with so far.

Spent three wonderful days at the Cote Canal and we had both the rooms on the 2nd floor which overlooked the canal.
This is a very classy place. Can't say enough about it. Caroline is so nice, helpful and charming.
The rooms are so full of light and you can look out the window onto the canal and wave as the boats go by. There is a nice yard at the canal edge where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine.
It is a great location and very quiet.
Highly recommend.

eurogals - great. that is where we are leaning at this writing. You might be helpful in helping us choose which room though! It seems like they are both very nice but was there some distinction in your opinion that made one seem better than the other? More comfortable bed, bigger shower, better view, something like that?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Sorry for the late return on your question.
Both of the rooms were spectacular. They both had front and back windows, so you could see the boats on the canal.
Each room was different styles, but they are both great. Both beds were great.
The room that is in the beige tones has a bath tub which is right in the middle of the room. It has sliding walls that close it off from the bedroom for privacy. There are two large closets on either side of the bathroom. A his and hers so to speak.
The wicker room has a separate bathroom with only a shower. Bathroom has windows which I just love. Bright and airy.
My husband, who is not such a B&B person like this place above all our other places. It was comfortable, immaculate, and over the top charming.
Only problem would be the flight of stairs up, should you have any kind of physical limitations.
You get a really nice breakfast in the morning, good conversation with Caroline and all the info you could ask for.
YOu will be impressed.

My vote goes to the Sint Niklaas also. We stayed there a few years ago. It was a lovely room, spotless and the best breakfast we have ever had at a B & B.
We rented bikes from a shop a block away and road along the canal to the town of Damn. It was a great day.

My favourite is Bonifacius: really nice house, with view on the canals from the salon/breakfast room and the mastersuite. I fall in love with this house every time I look at the pictures on their site!
