BritRail question...PLEASE?

Regarding the current problems I've been hearing about on the trains in the UK...I have reservations on BritRail for the train from Kings Cross Station to Edinburgh this Saturday. I'm not quite sure what to think and if I should be concerned about possible delays or cancellations?

Your reservations on GNER are roughly as likely to be delayed or cancelled as a flight from New York to, say, Chicago by a solvent airline.

I think Ginny means the recent train strikes that are happening again.

I don't think it affects GNER but I can't remember for user - the best place to check is www.nationalrail.co.uk

Hi Ginny,

You are going to Europe. People go out on strike all the time. Often they are announced in advance.

It's part of the European experience.

...unlike the United States where planes are never late or cancelled. Where airlines never go bankrupt. Or get destroyed by neanderthal trade unions. Or by dishonest senior management who expect their workers to accept lowered wages while awarding themselves secret deals.
Guys: planes and trains go awry. It's called the real world.
