We're flying on Delta/Air France on a direct flight. The plane has several seat options still available. The plane has an upper level that has about 20 rows of additional coach seats. However, if my husband and I want to sit with at least one seat on an aisle, we have to sit at the very back of the plane down below. This is our first trip to Europe and on this type of plane. Any pros/cons or suggestions?

All the years we travel from Boston to Paris, we were never on a plane that had two levels.

Same with me, never. But in any case, I would fly each on an aisle opposite each other. I like aisle seats, even in a movie theatre.

Are you sure about the upper level. That would be unusual on those two airlines (Well it would be impossible on DL so you must be on Air France metal!)

My expereince has been that there is not much difference in coach seats unless you hit the jackpot and get an exit row.

Air France is using 747 aircraft which have economy seats in the upper deck area.

If you want to sit "with at least one seat on an aisle" you can still sit up above.

I suspect you mean that you only want to BE one seat from an aisle, right?
