Boston GTG 1/28/05

I had so much fun at last year's GTG I decided to push for Boston '05.

I'm flying into Boston on Friday 1/28/05. I'm using miles and hopefully American Airlines won't let me down.

Since I'm not a native I'm willing to repeat Legal Seafood in Cambridge on Friday 1/28/05 at 7:00pm. A change of venue is wonderful as long as it has access to public transportation in the Boston area.

Everyone is welcome and wanted.

There's an especially warm invitation to seafox, nikki, cigalechanta, rhkkmk, auntgrapes, slhogan, jackie, anonymous, gpanda & annette from last year. And kybourbon whose daughter came.

Are you interested? Post here or e-mail me. It's a real e-mail address next to my name.

Mark your calendar and tell those non-travelin' friends and relatives you have plans!

How about 5/21/05 instead? Everyone can help pack my daughter's dorm room!

Do you have a hotel yet? The Marlowe hasn't been popping up on priceline lately especially not at the great rate you got last time. I usually end up getting the Cambridge Hyatt which is convenient to my daughters dorm.

There are many restaurants/shops/hotels across the river on Newberry Street if you want to try something new.

I couldn't get the picture link to work on your Greece trip report. Could you e-mail them to me? My hotel In Delphi had overbooked and I was given a room at another hotel on the lower street. I had that great view with the sea and snow-capped mountain.

Shoot. I'd love to go - I'm just outside of Worcester, but close enough! Unfortunately - I'll be away that day. Have a great time.

Dave, I've marked my calendar but there's a possibility that might be the weekend I go to New York to meet up with some college friends every year. I'll try to schedule around it though, because last year's gathering was a real hoot, and I'd love to do it again.

Love to pick your brain about Greece, too.

And I'll be watching this thread too. When I asked if anybody wants to meet it was me, and Faina, and FainaAgain. Oh, well...

Indy-tried to e-mail you but am having a mail problem.
Suggestion if you are spearheading this: saturday might be better than friday. possibly one of our local buddies can suggest a place. legal was terrific but after attending the nj/ny gathering i like the idea of "our own place".

Hey auntgrapes. Nice to see you had fun at the NYC GTG. Your suggestion sounds good. We'll see what we can flesh out as the date gets closer.

Hey - Indytravel - I'd love to come, but wou;ld prefer saturday if possible.....as of this week we have finally moved to Hartford!!! (8 months later)......Saturday would pose less conflict with work schedules. I'm flexible...you decide - good luck. We are off to Paris in the AM...can't wait!!!! Jeff

Have a great trip, Jeff. Want to hear all about it.

Mimi, I have a question for you but I can't locate your e-mail address. Could you please send it to me at [email protected]?

Count me in, too, please, as long as there's not a huge snowstorm since I'm out in the western burbs. Anyplace with valet parking or parking close by is fine with me.

Hey seafox. Nice to hear from you. Glad the move to Hartford finally worked out. Have a great time in Paris!

Would love to see you too sharona. The more the merrier.

Sounds like we're leaning more towards a Saturday. That works for me as I'll have no real agenda. What else am I going to do during a cold Boston weekend other then meet with Fodors friends?

Seafox, checkout today's NYTimes piece on "our" Provincetown. I tried twice e-mailing you and it bounced.

Mimi, I think Jeff is in Paris now. Probably won't be reading the Times for a little while.
