I like to make my own bookmarks out of expired calendar pictures, especially of Paris, France or Europe in general. I don't like bookmarks with those little tassles, though.

TravelNut, this is a great idea! I have so many calendars with nice pictures, hate to toss them, but have too many of them framed.

Do you (or everybody else!) have other ideas than bookmarks, for larger pictures?

I needed a gift bag for my friend's birthday present, so instead of buying one I took a shopping bag and an old Beatles calendar I had laying around (she's in love with Paul), and glued the pictures on with a glue stick. She loved it... I think better than the present! Now I make my own gift bags all the time with old calendars and greeting cards. Peace, Robyn >-

A trick I learned from my brother-in-law's mother is to cut the fronts off of pretty greeting cards and mark the back side to look like a postcard (then use it as a postcard, of course).

I have a "wall of Paris" in my office cubicle. My BFF gave me a wooden sign that says "I'd rather be in Paris" which I hung on the wall. Then I have a collection of Paris pix, some from calendars, under it. The security guard knows me as "the Paris lady on the 6th floor".
