We're visiting London in mid-February and are looking for a hotel in Bloomsbury that can accommodate two adults and two children (who need separate beds).<BR><BR>Ideally, there we'd have adjoining rooms, otherwise a "three-bedded" room.<BR><BR>We're limited to about 120 pounds per night.<BR><BR>Any suggestions?

Chuck<BR>There are many hotels in that area in wide price ranges. Many of the smaller ones will not have adjoining rooms or rooms with three beds. I suggest that you get some good London guide books (Fodors, Frommers, Rick Steves, etc) and research the hotels. Also use the web for research. The 120 pound limit might cause some problems in finding what you want since each room even in a small hotel will be around 70 pounds or so.<BR>

We were going to London in September 2001 with a group that included families, but we had to cancel. We were going to stay at the Eurohotel (www.eurohotel.co.uk), because I had seen it in March and it suited the needs of family groups. The price is right, and the people were so easy to work with. Give it a look.

Check out the Bloomsbury Thistle. I haven't stayed there yet, but its recommended by Fodors, and has very good rates right now.

I have been searching the net, emailing, making phone calls from the US to England for the past week looking for the same type of family accomodations.We preferred the Bloomsbury area too, but I could find nothing available that would rent to a family excepting the St. Margaret (no web site) phone # 0171/636-4277. However they had no family room with ensuite bath. A friend of my daughters checked out the family room at the Bedford and said it was very spacious. (online see imperial hotels)<BR>Howver they have not responded to three emails for reservations. They quote 89#<BR>a nite with breakfast and VAT which seemed very good.<BR>We have stayed at the London County Hall Travel Inn in the past and you can't beat their prices. A family room for my daughter, son-in law and two children was 78-79 pounds. Not fancy, but well worth the money and good location near Waterloo Station and convenient to the London Eye and Westminster bridge. The only drawback was their breakfast which was inedible and no restaurants within the immediate area. <BR>Since we now have a newborn to travel with as well, we thought we'd look for apartment accommodations instead. i.e. a kitchen and w/d is a life saver. I've gotten a good price for a 3-bedroom apartment at the MANSIONS today and we are going to take that. Of course my next task is to ask the FORUM if anyone knows anything about it.<BR>There seem to be a lot more choices for family accomodations when you look into the Kensington area about the Glouster tube. I got a 99# price at the Swallow for a family room with one double bed and two bunk beds which also sounded attractive for kids as it has pool facilities.<BR>Also, I suggest you check out the LONDONTOWN web site; they have a special area for hotels with family suites.<BR><BR>I also called the Aston apartments. The gentleman there was extremely helpful.
