I have already heard it a dozen times at least. I was hoping to find the translation in English. I was going to download the song from Amazon but since I am coming to Paris soon, may be I can pick up a CD? Would it be easily available?

I think it should be fairly easily available. I don't know which album but if you check the CD cover it should have the song titles listed. Check FNAC, Virgin or any other major CD store. And if you want a little bike tour in or around the city during your stay drop me a line. I'm off to the countryside to bike to Provins today. Trip report coming.

Hi Oohlala1,
It was just a day trip I did out in the country so I am back and the trip report should be posted in a day or two. You must be so excited to come on your first trip to Paris. How long will you be here for? Are you going outside Paris anywhere? If you all like biking I'm serious about showing you around on bikes. I have my own bike so I am not up on the Velib system but I'm sure I can have some info for you when you get here, or, I can help you find a bike rental place. I don't want to cut into your valuable vacation time if there are other things on your agenda but the offer is there. If you haven't seen my other biking trip reports you can search my name here and find them. And you can watch my video of me riding around the rotary of The Arc de Triomphe.

We will be in Paris for only 5 nights and then one more when we are back from Italy. We plan to go to Versailles and also Bayeux for the DDay Beaches tour with Victory tours and then spend the rest of the time sightseeing in Paris. I do appreciate the offer...I love riding my bike and try to get it out at least once if not twice a day. I only see Sunday as a possibility depending on what we have covered but I think the Tour de France grand finale is on that day so you might possibly have plans for that day? I would have booked a whole week in Paris if I had known I was getting such an offer.
Your Arc de Triomphe video is not coming up for me. How far is Provins?

Hi Again Oohlala1,
Here's the direct link to youtube for that video.

I have no plans for watching the finale Sunday so if biking fits your plans and interests you, let me know. I'm sure we'd have a blast.
Provins is about a 1-1/2 hour train ride from Paris leaving Gare de l'Est and about 90km in distance as the crow flies. I believe a round trip ticket is 21 euros. It's a lovely place. I biked starting in the suburbs but did a very roundabout route through lots of small villages so I must have done about 50-60KM at least. Great ride.
