AGM,

The weather in ireland in October could be good or bad, there is one certainty in Ireland and that is the uncertainty surrounding the weather. This time last year it was wet and cold and this year it is sunny and cool but then we had a very wet summer. For updates on weather try either www.ireland.travel.ie or www.ireland.com

Hope this helps,

Cathy

Bob,

The one thing you can predict in Ireland is that the weather will be unpredictable. The month of Sept has been great - better than July and August - with sunny and warm days and no rain for over a week in most places, although it has been cool in the evening it is really just great for cycling at the moment.

Cathy in Ireland

Mid-September of 1993 my wife and I did our first bike tour, solo. Don't know how your sister is going, solo or tour group, where she's going but here's our tale. Left Tralee, over CONNOR PASS to Dingle. Toured the peninsula and headed for the Ring of Kerry. No time for the Beara peninsula, straight on for Bantry, Kinsale and bus back to Cork. Weather was LOVELY except for one day from Portmagee to Watertown, cycled through what seemed to be at least a Force III over Coomansaspig.
