Big Group Trip to Spain

Hello Everyone!

I am trying to plan a trip for about 9 - 10 people to Barcelona, Spain. Does anyone know if there are flight deals for big groups, or cheaper rates? Would it be wise to go through a traveling agency or just individually searching online?

Thanks!

I think the eighth person flies free. I do not know from where you are flying but from NYC Delta, Iberia, Air France, AA, and Continental that fly non-stop to Barcelona.

Call and see what they say and the best way to orgdanize it and check in etc.

AA used to have group rates - don't know if they still do but imagine they might. All must fly together on the same itinerary.

The following is from United, but you may be better off using a consolidator:

United® is the perfect choice for groups such as leisure organizations, family reunions, weddings, sports teams or any group of 10 or more people traveling together.

Our competitive GroupsPlus program permits 10 or more passengers traveling on the same flight(s) to the same destination to be eligible for United's discounted group pricing and special group terms.

Additionally, domestic itineraries are eligible to earn one free tour conductor ticket for every 30 ticketed passengers.

Features

* Booking: Groups traveling in the U.S. and internationally can book 11 months in advance of travel.
* Pricing: Base fare is guaranteed at time of booking.
* Seating: Generic seat assignments are completed at time of booking, when available.
* Deposits: A minimal per seat deposit is required; varies by destination.
* Names and ticketing: Varies by market, but all names are typically due no later than 30 days prior to departure, unless otherwise stated.

For itineraries within the U.S., we offer group pricing applicable on United- or United Express®-operated flights.

For International itineraries, we offer group pricing applicable on United in addition to select Star Alliance® carriers.
