Beware extra luggage on low Cost flights!

My son just had to pay 95 UK pounds for 15 extra kg on Easy Jet! The flight only cost £49! So if you know you have loads of luggage would they allow you to buy 2 tickets I wonder........

Hmmm...it would work out cheaper...but does baggage rule apply per seat or per person?

I think I'll write to Easy Jet and find out as it's bound to happen again. Then I'll post what they tell me.

There should be a baggage limit stated somewhere at purchase, likely on the itinerary, or on their website. The onus is on the traveller to find out baggage limits.

That's too bad he got hit w/ the extra £95. But it surely shouldn't have been a surprise. They don't decieve anyone about their excess charges.

I know there is and rightly so. But if you know in advance that you will have a lot of luggage (my son for example is moving back to italy after a year and has 2 cases)I wondered if you could buy 2 tickets which in many cases would be a lot cheaper and would give you 40kg + hand baggage.
