between Florence and Bologna?

We are visiting Italy in late September, flying in and out of Bologna, and have laid out most of our trip - 2 nights in Bologna, a week in Tuscany. This leaves us with 3 more nights. Since we have previously did a day trip to Florence a few years ago, we're not sure if we want to do 3 days there. Are there any scenic and interesting villages to spend a day or two between Florence and Bologna?

Hi Z,

Since you have already done 1 day in Florence, you can now stay there for 2 days and actually see the city.

Where else are you going?

Florence and Bologna are only an hour apart by train.

I agree with the suggestion of staying more time in Florence. There's plenty to see and do.
