Best way to get from Nice/Monte Carlo to Lake como to Venice.

Only have two days to get from Nice and Monte Carlo (by train or flight) to Lake Como and ending up in Venice on day two.. Is it possible to do this and still see Nice and Monte Carlo on day one and Lake Como and arrive in Venice on day two? This protion of the trip is I could fly, drive or fly.

Is it possible to pick up a car in Paris, drive to Dijon (lunch), go to Ville france-sur-saone for Beaujolias tasting and sleep in Vence. All in one day?

Hi una,

Is it possible? probably.

Is it recommended? No.

Have you checked train schedules at www.bahn.de and plane schedules at www.whichbudget.com?

From Nice or Monte Carlo/Monaco train stations hop the shuttle train along the coast that terminates at Ventigmiglia, Italy where you have to change to a train to Milan Centrale -from there it is about 45 mins by to Como and boats and or buses from there to lakeside villages or from Milan you have loads of trains to Venice Santa Lucia, the station right on a main canal.

There used to be thru trains Nice to Genoa and Milan and an overnight train Nice to Venice but these have been scrubbed. The day train because of some snafu with Trenitalia which has ended many cross-border trains with its neighbors for some weird reason. So you have to change at Ventimiglia and Milan
