Best way in/out of Logan Airport

Does anyone know if there are multiple park/ride options for Logan Airport in Boston ???

I assume that there is at-airport long-term parking available. Are there any less expensive options with parking further away ???

Is this airport convienent to a T-Station ??? I've lived in Southern NE all my life, but have never traveled out of Logan.

Thanks in advance.

We always park at a place called Paul's Low Cost Airport Parking. It is right at the exit from the Callahan Tunnel. You can get the phone number by dialing information. Less expensive than the airport lots. And if you leave the car in the winter and it snows while you're away, they have it shoveled off and warmed up for you when their van brings you to the lot.

As far as the "T" is concerned, you can take the Blue line to Airport Station. Once you get out of the station, you have to take a shuttle bus (free) which will take you to your terminal. The bus ride takes 5-10 mins. Quite convenient in my opinion.

I don't know where in S. New England you live, but a lot of towns/cities now have airport shuttle buses between communities & Logan.

it is still a bit of a mess around the airport...the best parking place has been moved further away into chelsea...i suggest that you search for parking logan on yahoo....paul's is still there but it is not right at the exit to the tunnel---that the old tunnel, by the way not the ted williams ...phone for directions...
parking at the airport is very expensive..

at least two hotels north of the airport offer free parking if you stay one nite with them....the comfort inn on 1A (revere?) and the holiday inn just north of the airport on 1A (probably either revere or e. boston)...it might be worth staying over to get the parking...

the T goes to just outside the airport and there is a bus that circulates around to the terminals...

you could park at riverside mbta station in newton (just off rt 128 (95) at grove street in newton and take the T in for a lesser fee....there are busses that go from some places in NE directly to logan as well---your area??

or you can take the amtrack train to south station, boston and take a cab or the T to the airport...there may also be a bus ...it started but may have been discontinued...? look on the T site...MBTA....

perhaps you should post this on the America page.
There is a large park/ride operation in Braintree near the 93/128 split that might work for you. Most of the park and fly lots close to the airport are North of Logan on the way to Suffolk Downs.
The T might not be the best option as you'll need to switch from the red line to the blue and then take the shuttle bus to your terminal. I assume you're going to Europe as you've posted here. That would put you at terminal E- the last one on the shuttle bus route.
Go to the Massport home page. This should provide transport and parking links. Godd luck!

There is a long term parking place in Framingham with a shuttle bus to the airport. It's on Rt 9. That way you don't have to drive through Boston or the airport mess (which is greatly improved as of this summer though).

But recently someone suggested an idea that can be even cheaper depending on how long you are going to be away. The past two summers I rented a car (I live about 2 hours away in western Mass) in my hometown and dropped it at the airport. The car rental drop lots are right at the airport with free shuttles to the terminals. It only turns out to be cheaper if you are going to be away for at least two weeks.

Also be aware that the long term lot at the airport itself can fill up. A friend went to leave her car and the lot was full, since she didn't have time to drive out to one of the lots outside of the airport she ended up paying a fortune to park in the garage for ten days.

Thanks so much to all of you. You have provided many great options. I am surprised that so many of you are familiar with Logan. I live just outside of Fall River Mass, and I have always flown out of Rhode Island. I am leaving for Italy on Monday and I am staying for 9 days. Once again, thanks to ALL.
