Best Time In London
I want to thank each & every person on this amazing forum for helping me plan my trip to London. Sorry for the late trip report.
My daughter & I flew from Orlando, Florida, to London Gatwick Airport, non-stop flight which landed 6.30 am,1/2 hour early, The airport was almost empty, a couple of people ahead of us at Passport Control. We were out of there under 10 minutes. Since we landed South Terminal, we headed to the train station, stopping at an ATM to get cash. The ATM I noticed did not have a bank logo but MoneyCorp which I realized was not the right one, so withdrew only100 GBP.
We then proceeded to buy train tickets , saw a Ticket kiosk & bought 2 return tkts to Victoria, London. It cost 74.30 GBP which was a lot so I asked Information Desk & was told they were for Gatwick Express & that we could
return them, so I did, we bought the tickets which was 32.40 GBP per tkt & I kept asking him if there was cheaper tkts , he said no.
We boarded the train & got off at Victoria, bought our Oyster card 7day, Zone 1-2 travel cards loaded. I decided to continue by train & got off Gloucestor Rd. & walked to the hotel. We had done mobile check-in & had requested early check-in , we had to wait 11/2 hr, before we got our room. We were very tired so took a long nap.
I will continue later, I have written in detail so others don't make the same mistakes that we made.
