What are the most beautiful cities in the North of Portugal?

There are several, including Braga, Guimarães and Viana do Castelo, all of which have Pousadas where you can stay.

IMO, Guimaraes, Braganca, and Porto (and Porto in conjunction with a train ride from Pinhao to Pocinho and back -- it's stunning).

The ones that I been mentioned, and Freixo de Espada à Cinta from where one can take a cruise thru the Int´l Douro River, and visit the Foz do Coa.

There is no right answer on this one but in my opinion (largest to smallest), Porto, Guimaraes, Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima. I think Braga does not have a Pousada now but you can check that online http://www.pousadasofportugal.com/pousadas-map.html.
