Best maps for N Spain

We will be driving ourselves going North from Barcelona and then East thru the Pyrennees and onto Santiago and Bilboa. From there we would likely go South to Madrid. I saw one recommendation for Michelin's #573 which will cover some of the area. Any other map recommendations for this area? Thanks

Michelin is the best choice for paper maps but even the best map is only a fraction as good as the worst GPS device.

I strongly suggest you have both, but if you only have one - get a GPS.

You could also get these:

But, again, still get the GPS.

Use the Michelin maps as suggested, but look at teh date as some maps sold on-line are too old.

Thanks! Yes, defintely need to check dates on maps. Ours are 5+ years old which is why I'm looking to get new ones. I'm not a huge GPS fan. We seem to do just fine with maps and actually have made some great discoveries wandering around. Maybe one of these days I will become a convert to GPS.
