All beer is good. One of the best is ANDECHS found in Germany at Andech. Hard to beat. But on a hot day even Pabst Blue Ribbon will taste good.

The only correct answer to this question is that the best beer is the one that is there when you need it.

Wayne's got it right. The absolutely best beer I ever had was in Mexico, after a 3 hour mountain bike tour in 100+ degree heat......a shot of tequilla followed quickly by an ice cold Sol.

I'm partial to real (hand-pulled) cask ales in English pubs. Tetleys is good but so are most brands.

We're not really beer experts but two experiences come to mind. Drinking weisbeer(sp?)(a wheat beer) at an outdoor table near the main square in Munich; and believe it or not, drinking strawberry beer down the street from our little hotel in Paris...a small pub with absolutely hundreds of beers to choose from. It was absolutely delicious!

Everything in Germany and Austria that I've tried. Plus, everything brewed within the borders of Belgium.

Most european ales are great. I loved the German cask ales the best, especially in the Munich beer halls. I also fell for Carlsbad in Ireland, (I don't like stouts). For all those Bud fans out there, I'm sorry, your taste buds have been tarnished. Bud can't hold a candle to a good european ale or lager. In fact, no American beer or lager can touch the quality of the european ones.
