Best baguette in Paris! Prize winning 'Au Duc de la Chapelle Patisserie'

I will definitely be crossing town to check out this little place! Are those macaroons I see in the picture? Everything looks gorgeous - I was wondering if Kerouac has paid them a visit seeing he lives so close by?

Hi,
I am so disappointed I did not know about them when we stayed in Rue Torcy last year. We will definitely call on them this May and pick up stuff for a picnic lunch.
My DH loves bread made in the 'sour-dough'style.
If their macaroons are good, and I expect they are, I will be taking a gift box from here!

Several people have told me to go there, and I still haven't been! I think it's mostly because I would have to walk past about 15 other boulangeries to get there from my place. Since several of them are already quite good, it is hard to justify a special trip.

Thanks for the reply Kerouac. If you don't get there before I do in May, I will include my experience in a little trip report. So it seems it must be a good 15 /25 minute walk from Marx Dormoy unless we take the metro all the way to Porte de La Chapelle.
