Berlin to Fuessen - Train or Plane?
I'm taking a trip to Germany in May (I'm from the US). I'm going from Berlin to Fuessen and I'm wondering if I should take the train (8.5 hrs, approx. $165) or a plane (1 hr., approx. $80).
It may seem obvious from a time and price standpoint, but I thought navigating another airport might be stressful, and I figured I could see the countryside from the train.
However, I only have 10 days, so it would be nice to have the extra time. Any advice? Are there any great views from the train that I might miss? Or should I just get where I'm going?

I would be flying into Munich. And until you mentioned it I had forgotten that I would need to take the train from Munich to Fuessen. (just one more thing to deal with!).
And the train from Berlin would be via Goettingen.

So: you get to the Berlin airport two hours in advance of the flight; the flight to Munich is an hour; it takes another hour from the time you deplane until you get to the Munich main rail station by S-Bahn; you wait maybe 30 minutes for the next train to Fuessen; the train to Fuessen takes 2 hours. It looks like you have spent 6 1/2 hours.
