BERLIN QUIET FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER
HI! This is going to be a tough request. We are looking for a good, moderate priced Berlin restaurant (type of food does not matter) with ambiance and where we can talk with friends we have not seen in a long time. Traditional Germany would be fun... Any ideas? Need reservations?
Thanks!!! ( mid September)

You might check out some of the restaurants in the Nikolaiviertel. I don't know any names for you but this is the closest thing Berlin has to an old town with some old buildings and some of that ambiance. I am thinking particularly of a couple of restaurants which have a beer garden at the front under some trees. You could then stroll around the old area afterwards.

Cafe Einstein Stammhaus? People think of it as a cafe but it serves dinners at nice prices. The menu features Austrian cuisine but there are also German classics. Be sure not to confuse it with the smaller, newer sister cafe on the Unter den Linden.
