Will be coming into Berlin at the Main Haupbahnhof- what would be the taxi cost from this station to our Hotel (H-10 near the Europa Center). Also what would the taxi cost be from our hotel to the airport?

If ambulatory with bags you could take a train from Hbf to Berlin-Zoo - frequent trains and Europa Center is a short walk from there - your train may come thru Zoo before Hbf in that case certainly get off at Zoo, formerly the main train station in West Berlin.

I asked for a quiet room ( not on the street ) ...I do this everywhere. Did not have breakfast in the hotel.

Enjoyed the stay very much. Modern hotel, good service, metro next door, Zoo train station a few minutes away. Many shops and restaurants nearby - including the famous KaDeWe.
Easy to reach attraction in the East Berlin by public transit...
I have visited Berlin five times...stayed in the east and west ...like both parts of the city.
Berlin is great.
