Bergen, Norway

One and half days in Bergen. Top things to do and low key dining near the Radison Blu.

Depends on the weather. Rains a lot in Bergen. Mount Floyen and the Bryggen Hans Wharf. Breakfast good at the Radisson.

Bergen in a Day

We are going to have oneand half days in Bergen. In reading, it lists the following and says you can do this in a day, take the Fløibanen funicular to the top of Mt. Fløyen, see the iconic buildings and wharf form a UNESCO World Heritage Site, cable car to Mt. Ulriken, visit Edvard Grieg's home, visit The Fantoft Stave Church, walk around the area and enjoy Bergen. If this is possible that would be amazing. Is this overly aggressive or can it be done. This was listed as an itinerary for one day. We will have a full day, a couple of hours on the days on either side of that full day! Also on the list is KODE ART MUSEUM AND COMPOSERS’ HOMES! Your advice or suggestions are welcome

Fløybanen, yes, very nice. There's a restaurant at the top and a cafe near the children's playground. The walking routes are very good. Bryggen is also good especially if you go through the back alleys. I also like to walk around Sandviken. Centre of town has the shops and the cafes and Bergen has a fantastic collection of art museums. Really worth a visit for the insight it offers into Norwegian art history. For 1.5 days your schedule is far too ambitious. Your itinerary comes from an action packed bus tour.

Thank you so much for your response. It helps to have a reality check and move toward sorting out the details of the visit.

Everything is within walking distance, and there's tons of restaurants, cafes, and bars along Bryggen. These days you can just use google maps sitting at home and take a virtual walk down Bryggen and into the center of town. Oh, you'll love the Radisson Blu!
