You can buy duvet covers practically anywhere -- even in the US at Macy's, Marshalls, Home Goods and TJ Maxx. Otherwise try Galleries du Temps.

Sorry 'bout that hit post accidently.

Anyway there are stores called FRETTE throughout Europe and I believe there's one in Paris? They have GORGEOUS linens!!! Very expensive though but they are heirloom. If you do come to the states I just found a Frette Outlet in NY so that made my day!

Good luck!

RMC, could you find out if there are other Frette outlets in the US? I'm interested in California. Maybe they could tell you at the NY outlet. I just went to the Frette website, www.frette.com (nice music), but their outlets are not listed. Many thanks in advance.

Porthault is a venerable firm. Also you could check the French equivalent of the Yellow Pages. http://wga.pagesjaunes.fr/pj.cgi?lang=eng
type in Household Linens and it should give you a fairly good selection.
Best of Luck

CAgal........

The outlet I came across (quite by accident) was at a place called Central Valley Premium Outlets. This is a huge outlet mall about an hour north of NYC literally in the middle of no where! I have no idea if there are other Frette outlet stores anywhere but I do know there's a regular Frette store in NYC. If I were looking for another location I'd start with Secaucus NJ. Good luck!

BTW...that outlet mall was wonderful if anyone likes to shop! Lots of European designer shops.

By Central Valley outlet, do you mean Woodbury Commons? and do they have a Frette outlet there? You sure can get great buys there!

Bobbie...yes I do mean the Woodbury Outlets and I think they're located in Central Valley, right? I was really sick while we were wandering around there so I didn't get in all the stores that I wanted to but I will DEFINITELY go back at some point.

Thanks, RMc. I went to www.premiumoutlets.com and checked out all the CA locations, but there doesn't seem to be a Frette outlet in CA. I e-mailed Premium HQ and asked if there was one planned. Crossing my fingers out here.
