Ristorante San Giovanni

I will be in Ravello in a month. Can anyone tell me how long a hike it is to the Ristorante San Giovanni? Torre dello Ziro? Thanks

The Walk down to the San Giovanni and the Torre is around 20/25 mins from the central square in Ravello; however the walk up(steps, steps & more steps) would take you considerably longer and would not be advisable in the dark.

Ciao anekckc,

To get to Pontone from Ravello it is an easy 20 minute walk down the stairs from Ravello, although you can take a longer route via Santa Caterina. The walk to the Torre dello Ziro from Pontone is a 25 minute walk and the views are some of the best on the Amalfi Coast. The Tourist information office in Ravello has free hiking maps of the area (ask specifically for the hiking map)

As Cicerone rightly states, the walk up from Pontone to Ravello is strenuous but in daylight you can carry on down to Amalfi to catch the bus back up to Ravello, all in all a great days hiking.

Thanks Guys for the info. How long a hike from Pontone to Amalfi? Is there a bus to take back from Pontone to Ravello? Need to get back in time for the concert at the Villa Rufolo.

aneck, To walk down from Ponrtone to Ravello will take 30 minutes and is an easy walk all downhill. The bus services to Pontone are infrequent and the easiest way to get to Ravello from Pontone by bus is to take the 20 minute
walk along the small road from Pontone, through the two small tunnels, around the corner to the right By the Auto Saloon where you will come to the Ravello road, where you can hail the Amalfi-Ravello bus service. Bus timetables are at WWW.sita-on-line.it

Follow the directions on the website WWW.ristorantesangiovanni.com. It is the first turning on the left, just past the hairpins as you drive up to Ravello from the coast road and the first turning on your right just before the hairpins if you are coming from Ravello.
