Bed and Breakfast
Has anyone made use of the Bed and Breakfast Association of Rome? Their pictures, descriptions and rates sound very tempting for those of us on a tight budget. If anyone has a specific rscommendation and/location I would appreciate it. Thank you all,
Mike

Hi Mike. My girlfriend & I made use of them when we went to Rome about two months ago and, with one minor exception, we were very pleased with them. (The one exception is that my girlfriend had been led to believe that we had English-speaking hosts; we'd been hoping to talk to them about life in Rome, etc. Our hostess, who was very sweet, admittedly did speak some English, but it was very limited.)

We stayed in a B&B in the Prati district, very near the Piazza della Libertà (#53 on the B&B list) for only 140,000 lira/night (approx. $70) for a huge room with a large bed and a private bath across the hall. Certainly not as convenient as staying somewhere like Piazza Navona, but not inconvenient either. All-in-all, a great value. Good luck!
