Cherie: You might also try
posting to
soc.history.war.world-war-ii it's a moderated NG and that's where the WWII history buffs are. Many of whom have traveled the war sites. Also try rec.travel.europe there have been a few threads on WWII battle sites, either post or search "deja". HTH Regards, Walter
Cherie,
There is indeed a museum just on the outskirts of Bastogne. It addresses both the American and German aspects of the battle. In close proximity to the museum on a gentle rise, there's an impressive monument that commemmorates the battle site, as well.

We visited the museum in May, and were disappointed. Thought it clinical and touristy, and imo not capturing the feeling of the Battle. The tourist bureau of Belgium will upon request provide material showing sites all over Belgium. We traveled out of the way to see it, and ironically appreciated the tiny freedom museum at the Bridge of Remagen (Remagen, Germany) far more.
