Battery prices in Europe
I have 3 days left until my wedding and 5 days before we depart for our 5 week honeymoon. Sorry about the silly question but I'm trying to nail down the details before we depart. Should I buy batteries (CD Player, booklight, Gameboy, camera flash) before I leave or are they priced reasonably in Europe?

buy the Costco 20-pack, or take rechargeables and a voltage converter and charger...
My digital camera like laptop were NiHydride; I charged them every night after downloading pictures. Most modern power bricks in N.America say 100-250V 50-60Hz, and you just need a plug adaptor not a converter to use them in Europe.

I don't even know what a Gameboy is, but some people like to play games on the plane so maybe -- anybody who takes a booklight can't be all bad IMO (I take one also as I read a lot and lighting in hotels is not always good).

Batteries in Europe are reasonably priced, not that diff. from US. Perhaps a little more expensive (but I'm not even sure on that anymore), but really, do you have to save such a small amt on batteries that you will lug so many extra around in your baggage? Why would you think batteries would be so expensive in Europe? Sometimes it seems people think Europe is like going to Mars or something. Geez, you can buy stuff like that on every street corner.
