We have visited Barcelona for the last 2 years in November and will be there again next month. Days are usually in the mid 60's, temperatures dropping down to the high 30's - 40's at night. 2 yrs ago we had several days of rain but last year was bright and sunny the whole time. We pack clothes for fall weather--long sleeves, sweaters, fall coat for the evenings. Have a safe trip!

During my last time in Barcelona, in November, 1999, it snowed. It was chaos, all the flights were delayed I lost my flight from Madrid to Rio, Brazil.

Snowing, though, is not usual there. I was told that it hasn't happened for 20 years.

Hi,

I am also embarking on my first trip to Spain in November. If you have not already done so, check out timeout.com and tourspain for updated weather reports. I have been told to pack layers. I plan to bring lightweight turtlenecks, long skirts (not an option for the male traveler) and a trench with wool lining. I may have to buy warmer purchases when I arrive...but that's part of the fun.

What route do you plan on taking? I arrive in Madrid and will tour the Andalucian area (Toledo, Sevilla, Granada, Arcos and Ronda) and wind up in Barcelona before my return flight to Madrid. I haven't booked any hotels b/c I'm not sure which towns I will go to first. Am I crazy?

Enjoy!!

-Andrea
