Trains for Girona leave from Sants station. Most trains also stop at intermediate stations in Barcelona, at Passeig de Gracia and Clot-Arago. There are basically two types of trains - Catalunya Express taking around 80 min nad costing 7.05 euro one-way, and Regional taking about 10 min longer and costing 6.20 euro. Trains run at least hourly. There are more expensive types of train like targo and mare nostrum, but they are cross-country or international expresses and go no faster, but cost more with compulsory reservation. Absolutely no need to take them.

Are there taxis at the station once we get in from Barcelona to take us to the old town? If so, approximate cost? Is it easy to get a taxi from town to station. We do not speak any Spanish so will this be a problem. We do travel a lot so I dont think so but need some reassurance.
