Barcelona - Restaurant Reservations?
Hi all! I plan to be at Sagrada Familia in the late afternoon of Sunday, April 7, and a Fodors poster recommended the restaurant La Llesca nearby. For this and other recommended restaurants in Barcelona (around La Ramblas), do you think reservations are a must on a Sunday night (around 7:30 or 8:00)? If so, should I try to reserve well in advance, or could we probably do it from our hotel on the same day? (We don't arrive in Barcelona until Sunday, and I'm just thinking the hotel staff may be better at reserving by phone than I am with broken Spanish.) Thanks!

At good and popular restaurants (and La Llesca seem to be one of those) I would definitely make a reservation at least some days/a week ahead. Be sure that they open so early as 7.30 or 8. Many local places will not open before 8.30-9.

A lot of restaurants are not open for dinner on Sundays, La Llesca is. I would definitely make a reservation. They open for dinner at 8:30.

Paco Merlago is a good back up for Sunday evening. They take reservations and there are staff members fluent in English. They have tables and a long counter. Casual; we spent 46 euro for two persons, for dinner.

Look, too, at Tapac24 for another casual place.
