My husband and I have a short trip to Barcelona coming up next month. We arrive on a Thur. afternoon, will have all day Friday and Saturday and depart mid-day Sunday. Neither of us has been to Barcelona before so we want to make the most of it. Is the following realistic:

Thursday afternoon - Hotel check-in; Lunch; walk around neighborhood, including Manzana la Discordia; nap; dinner

Friday - La Rambla; La Boqueria; Barri Gotic; Palau de la Musica Catalana; Lunch; Picasso Museum; Evening Tapas tour

Saturday - Sagrada Familia; Parc Guell; Dinner in Barceloneta

Sunday morning - Walk?

Thinking L'illa de la discordia is a better phrase to use in Barcelona.

The Manzana de discordia is what the goddess of strife tossed onto the table in a feast celebrating marriage of Peleus and Thetis and ultimately caused the Trojan War (so sayeth the myths). Manzana is Spanish for apple.

Would do dinner at Port Vell or Placa Real if you're looking for a nice area. Barceloneta isn't quite as scenic.

La Rambla is really not an attraction - just a thoroughfare.

You can do more than the Picasso Museum on Friday afternoon. Palau Guell is near there and is a lovely building. You should also make time for La Pedrera and/or Casa Batllo.

You could do those three things in one day. Sagrada Familia will take the most time; pre-book your tickets for both SF and CB to avoid waiting in lines.

One of the old churches, Santa Maria del Mar in El Born, the cathedral or Santa Maria del Pei, is worth a stop.
We've gone to Parc Guell, then walked to Sagrada Familia, stopping for lunch or a snack at a local tapas place. It's downhill that direction.
Depending on your taste, you might enjoy seeing a performance at the Palau. It's a really special venue. You can buy tickets online at their website.
If you want to have a meal near the seafront, I'd make it lunch, just because it will be warmer.
