Barcelona Bonvoy Properties

We have a trip to Barcelona end of March and I am looking for suggestions for Bonvoy properties. It is our first trip and we will be staying at the W for 3 nights. I am looking for an additional property for 2 nights - that's not in the same area. We will be visiting touristy sites but we don't need to stay in one, as long as we have access to the metro.
Based on research I am thinking one of the AC hotels but unsure which one. Also open to others. Bonvoy due to points usage. Thank you!

As a side question, we have been thinking of going to Valencia for three days instead. Is it worth the trip? Suggestions there are welcome as well.

Cotton House hotel is a Marriott property and I think is well reviewed, but just curious why you would want to change hotels in the same city? Maybe I’m reading this wrong. I can’t comment on Valencia as I’ve never been. Maybe with this bump others will chime in.

I stayed at the Ren, it was fine! Cotton House, nearby, gets great reviews!

Thanks! I was leaning towards that one. The second hotel is due to the price of the W and to be closer to the touristy areas? Maybe I'm overthinking it.

Still deciding on Valencia. We are thinking of flying in, and taking the RENFE train. We would have 2 hours between arrivals at BCN and departure from Sants. Not sure if it is doable or worth it. Will read more.
