Barcelona-Bilbao: Day trip doable?

We will be in Barcelona for a week, and I would love to see the Guggenheim in Bilbao. Is a day trip, to and from Bilbao by train possible, and would there be enough time to see the museum?

No way too far by train - far enough that there is an overnight train between the two.

The budget airline Vueling flies between these two cities.

Since you wouldn't have any luggage it might be worth your while to check out the possibilities

Barcelona to Bilbao on a day trip is not impossible, but is certainly impracticable.

"Impracticable"....as in impossible to do or carry out?

Sorry, I disagree

im·prac·ti·ca·ble - adj
1.that cannot be carried out effectively
2.not in a fit condition for use

To each his own!

not by train or Vueling ( only one flight a day)
Try Iberia.
