Barcelona Beach Hotel

We stayed in a hotel in a suburb of Barcelona, called Badelonia. We rode the train in every day. The station was a fifteen min. ride from the center of Barcelona, and a five min. walk from our front door. Our hotel was on the beach, clean, quiet, and affordable ($55 a night for a double). If you are interested, I will check our travel log for the name.

Dear Nancy - I am very interested. I have flights to Barcelona booked for June and no where to stay. We have 2 girls who want to just play in the sand, and wed love a hotel directly on the beach. Is the beach there artificial, I wonder? I like to swim any pool at the hotel, and hows the beach for seaweed? I look forward to your news.

There are a number of hotels across a narrow street from the beach in Sitges, another suburb with easy train access to the center. The beach there and the water were very clean and enjoyable. We stayed at the Santa Maria, a nice 3-star family-run place with a good sidewalk restaurant.
