Eks we were in Barcelona May 26th this year 3 days, then Begur for 4 then Barcelona for 1 day. Not sure about the water temp but outside temp 26 to 29 c gorgeous weather.

You cannot imagine how long I've thought about spending time in the Begur area. I visited the Costa Brava (Cadaques) just on an overnight about 10 years ago, from Barcelona, and I've been longing to return ever since. I want to plan a trip focusing on Catalonia outside Barcelona. And after I read that article....... I'm kind of a swim fanatic so I hope to go at a time when I can indulge..

Eks, I dont remember but D said he thought he did see people in the sea. I would say it would be fine if a little chilly!

Hello again, Smeagol! Any chance that you might give a few more details of your stay in Begur?

Is it any problem to drive and park near the beaches? Can you walk to the beach from the hotel? (A TA review mentioned this).

What else did you do during your stay there?

(I am dreaming of a visit next year and am pondering the various hotel options, including parador and your Hotel AC)

Eks..we stayed in the Parador and walked down some steps to the beach. We loved this area too.
