we are going on a back-to-back cruise with the changeover day in Barcelona. Does anyone know a good private or public tour guide? Thanks!

I know this isn't the same...BUT if you can't find a guide....a trip on the hop-on-hop-off bus is an alternative....gives you a good overview!

I'd second the suggestion of taking the tour bus, it shows you everything supposedly worth seeing, although there's little to tempt you off of it; perhaps you'll love Barcelona though.

Bus Turistico is the name of the hop-on hop-off bus. Well worth the cheap 24-hour fare.

You might also consider walking tours (such as of the old city), which we found entertaining.
