Back from Paris
Just got back on Sunday after a wonderful week in Cologne and Paris. I am just going to mention things I have not seen in the forum.
We stayed in a triple room in
Hôtel Tourisme
66 Avenue de la Motte-Picquet
Paris
75015
It is about 10 minutes walk to Eiffel, 10 mins to Rue Cler, 15 mins walk to Army Museum/Napoleon's tomb. We paid 100 Euros/night for a triple room. The room was very small but adequate and most importantly spotless. It is near a Metro, Monoprix, Fanprix and lots of cafes. I would recomment it to anybody looking for a budget, clean hotel in a good location.
And for anybody looking for a good Indian restaurant: Passage de Pondicherry. It is a 5 minute walk from Strasbourg St.Denis Metro.
All the other places we ate were places recommended in this forum - Cafe Constant, La Taverne, Josselin's etc. They were all great. The only disappointment was Berthillon ice cream - we actually threw it away uneaten!
And for anybody flying out of CDG, be there at least 3 hours in advance. The lines are loooooooong and painfully slooooooow!
All in all a wonderful trip and thanks for all the help

Hi Jandee,
Thanks for your post - Please help me find Passage Pondichery. I can find Rue Pondichery in the 15th near Metro La Motte Piquet Grenelle and I know there are great Indian restaurants in Passage Brady very near to Metro Strasbourg St Denis.

I'm surprised about the Berthillon ice cream. We were in Paris in early October and I had Berthillon ice cream twice. It was as wonderful as ever! They do have come unusual flavors occasionally and maybe you got one that wasn't to your taste.
