Quite unbelievable the garbage i'm reading in reply to your question. I happened upon this thread when looking to purchase the babyphone online. My wife and I found it in Berlin at the Marriott. 6 month old in her crib. Door locked. Any noise is transmitted to your cellphone while your downstairs at the restaurant enjoying a steak and the soccer game. 30 seconds to race up the stairs to the third floor should their be any disturbance (not that their was any). I mean really....do you all live in one bedroom apartments where you are in earshot of your newborn every minute of the day? Baloney.

WOW, you say "Garbage"?? I think it is real ballsy to leave the safety of your child up to the correct functionality of monitor, cell phone, etc....
Say you get to the room and you realize your card is not in your pocket/purse? Child is screaming and you need to get another key,... What happens it some sicko would also like to listen in and perhaps intercept?
Older children, I understand. Not babies. Leave them with nammy, grandma or have them with you at all times in the pumpkin seat( or whatever they are called today). I have 3 kids and would not respect anyone who left an infant alone. enough said.

Schtonk: Just how cocky would your post have been if your baby had died in a fire, chocked on the bed clothes, been taken by an intruder, thrown up and suffocated, or any number of other things? Just because some idiotic product is available doesn't mean it isn't almost criminal to use it. But then there are schmucks born every day . . . . .

I can't believe people leave their babies alone in hotel rooms.

Mmm. yes, "enjoying steak and soccer".
It is really worth leaving an infant alone to have some soccer time ..glad you had fun schtonk..happy we didn't have to read the regretful post that you could have written, about how it could all have gone horribly wrong.
